This is Marco’s first year as a staff member for the EHS marching band. Graduating in the class of 2025, Marco served as the head drum major for the Dublin High School Irish Guard for his junior and senior year. He was also a member of the Blue Devils B drum major team in 2024. Marco is excited to spend his fall semester taking classes at Las Positas College and working in education before starting school at the University of Southern California in the spring semester.
Dr. Marvin Reed is a Bay Area educator, performing arts leader, and school administrator dedicated to empowering students through leadership, community, and creativity. He currently serves as the Vice Principal of Amador Elementary School in Dublin Unified School District and the Marching Band Leadership and Visual Coach at Emerald High School, where he supports students in developing both technical excellence and collaborative leadership skills.
Dr. Reed holds a B.A. in Sociology, M.A. in Higher Education and Leadership Policies, Multiple Subjects Teaching and Administrative Services Credentials, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from California State University, Sacramento—where he also served as Drum Major of the Hornet Marching Band.
He is deeply rooted in the marching arts and education communities across California. Dr. Reed has judged and consulted with numerous prestigious high school marching band programs, including Granite Bay, Amador Valley, Foothill (Pleasanton), Homestead, Roseville, John F. Kennedy, Ayala, American Canyon, Liberty, Elk Grove, Washington Union, Antelope, Laguna Creek, California, and Ponderosa High Schools.
A respected leader in drum corps, Dr. Reed served on the Sacramento Mandarins Board of Directors, where he helped develop their corps-wide leadership curriculum. He now serves as the Corps Director of the award-winning Blue Devils B Drum and Bugle Corps, where he continues to foster excellence and character in young performers from across the nation. Whether in a classroom, on a field, or leading a community, Dr. Reed is committed to joyful disruption, equity-driven leadership, and helping students find their voice.

Originally from San Jose, California. Cael Ross has been marching tenor drums starting by participating in the Dublin High School Irish Guard Drumline from 2020 - 2024, being a part of the program’s fall field show and winter percussion seasons. His teaching experience comes from previously offering private quad lessons and having taught the Emerald High School during the fall and winter of 24’. His performing background includes performing in Sparta Indoor Percussion 2025, as well as Sparta Ignite 2025. He has also been a part of the Las Positas Music Department within the jazz combo program as a drumset player.
Mr. O is the inaugural Color Guard Caption Head and Head Dance Team Coach at Emerald High School. He has started dancing at 8 years old and color guard in the 7th grade. He taught color guard in 2004 and 2010 to the present. Outside of Emerald HS, he teaches at a dance studio in San Carlos and a World Class Color Guard in Fairfield. He judges for the United Spirit Association and the California Color Guard Circuit.
