This is Marco’s first year as a staff member for the EHS marching band. Graduating in the class of 2025, Marco served as the head drum major for the Dublin High School Irish Guard for his junior and senior year. He was also a member of the Blue Devils B drum major team in 2024. Marco is excited to spend his fall semester taking classes at Las Positas College and working in education before starting school at the University of Southern California in the spring semester.
Lyle began his marching percussion career at Amador Valley HS in 2018. He marched at Blue Devils B in 2022, the Sacramento Mandarins in 2023, and Thesis Indoor Percussion 2022-2024. Lyle is currently working towards a degree in composition.
Aditi is in her first year of teaching battery percussion in Emerald High School. She has previously marched in Irish Guard and Blue Devils B.
Mr. O is the inaugural Color Guard Caption Head and Head Dance Team Coach at Emerald High School. He has started dancing at 8 years old and color guard in the 7th grade. He taught color guard in 2004 and 2010 to the present. Outside of Emerald HS, he teaches at a dance studio in San Carlos and a World Class Color Guard in Fairfield. He judges for the United Spirit Association and the California Color Guard Circuit.

Rebecca is originally from the Sacramento area and currently resides in the East Bay. She studied at CSU Sacramento where she obtained her BA in Public Relations, and pursued a career in corporate event planning and management. 2025 is her 4th year with BDPA.
She started her marching career at CSU- Sacramento as a marching member and drum major. She continued her marching career with the Sacramento Mandarins (2013-2018), where she started on mellophone and eventually worked her way up to Lead Tour Manager, assisting with their first appearance in DCI World Class Finals in 2018. She is the assistant corp director of Blue Devils B and is the Program Director and on the leadership team for Thesis Indoor Percussion.
Dr. Marvin Reed is a Bay Area educator, performing arts leader, and school administrator dedicated to empowering students through leadership, community, and creativity. He currently serves as the Vice Principal of Amador Elementary School in Dublin Unified School District and the Marching Band Leadership and Visual Coach at Emerald High School, where he supports students in developing both technical excellence and collaborative leadership skills.
Dr. Reed holds a B.A. in Sociology, M.A. in Higher Education and Leadership Policies, Multiple Subjects Teaching and Administrative Services Credentials, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from California State University, Sacramento—where he also served as Drum Major of the Hornet Marching Band.
He is deeply rooted in the marching arts and education communities across California. Dr. Reed has judged and consulted with numerous prestigious high school marching band programs, including Granite Bay, Amador Valley, Foothill (Pleasanton), Homestead, Roseville, John F. Kennedy, Ayala, American Canyon, Liberty, Elk Grove, Washington Union, Antelope, Laguna Creek, California, and Ponderosa High Schools.
A respected leader in drum corps, Dr. Reed served on the Sacramento Mandarins Board of Directors, where he helped develop their corps-wide leadership curriculum. He now serves as the Corps Director of the award-winning Blue Devils B Drum and Bugle Corps, where he continues to foster excellence and character in young performers from across the nation. Whether in a classroom, on a field, or leading a community, Dr. Reed is committed to joyful disruption, equity-driven leadership, and helping students find their voice.

Ash is excited to start her first year at Emerald High School. She has previously marched trumpet in Blue Devils B Drum and Bugle Corp.
Korben is excited to start his first year at Emerald High School. He has previously marched baritone in Blue Devils B Drum and Bugle Corp.
Justin first started playing in the front ensemble in 2011 at Elk Grove High School performing in all eight fall and winter percussion seasons. He continued his marching career in WGI with groups such as eNVision, NorCal Indoor, and Tricity Percussion and has made multiple WGI finals appearances. Justin began teaching front ensemble in 2018 with the Irish Guard and has since taught the Vanden High School front ensemble.
Justin graduated from UC Berkeley in 2019 with a BA in Philosophy and from San Francisco State University in 2023 with an MA in Philosophy where he taught undergraduate philosophy classes as both a Graduate Teaching Associate and as an Adjunct Lecturer.

A California native and a Tuba player, Matt spent his marching career at Newsome H.S. (Lithia, FL) & Clovis West H.S. before joining the Concord Blue Devils "A" Corps ('13-'16). As an instructor, Matt has taught numerous Northern California High Schools and Drum Corps. He has served as Visual Caption Head of Amador Valley H.S., and a Visual Instructor of Foothill H.S., Live Oak H.S., James Logan H.S., the Blue Devils "B" Corps, and the Blue Devils "C" Corps.
